China Railway has largely adopted an e-ticketing system, meaning your passport is your primary travel document.
1. Standard Domestic E-Tickets (Within Mainland China)
-
Your ticket will be sent to you as an e-ticket confirmation via email once issued.
-
No paper ticket is required. You simply use the original passport you booked with to check in and board your train directly at the station gate.
2. EXCEPTION: International Tickets (e.g., China to Laos)
For specific international routes, physical paper tickets are still required due to international travel regulations.
-
You will receive your booking confirmation and details via email.
-
Collection is required: You must go to the designated railway station counter in China to redeem the physical paper ticket.
-
The station staff will verify your identity by checking the original passport you booked with before issuing the paper ticket.
-
Your passport and the paper ticket will both be required for boarding and border checks.
Important Reminders for All Travelers:
-
Always Carry Your Passport: This is your primary form of identification and your virtual ticket for all domestic routes.
-
Arrive Early: For international routes, allow extra time (up to 2 hours) to complete the paper ticket redemption process at the station before your departure time.
While we aim for a 100% success rate, payment guarantees only the start of our purchasing process, not the final ticket confirmation.
Our Process After Payment:
-
We complete the required real-name verification (using your passport details).
-
We prioritize the purchase of your tickets immediately when they become available for sale (15 days before departure).
If Tickets are Unavailable: In the rare event we cannot secure your booked tickets, we will notify you by email immediately. You will then have the option to switch to an alternative train or receive a full refund.
Success Rate: Based on our statistics, we successfully secure tickets for approximately 95% of paid bookings.
The total price you pay is comprised of three clear components:
-
Ticket Fare: The base price of the train ticket set by China Railway.
-

-
Real-Name Verification for ticket eligibility.
-
Prioritized Purchasing as soon as tickets are released.
-
Customer Support and assistance with cancellations/changes.
-
-

The exact amount of the Service Fee and Transaction Fee will be clearly displayed during the booking process before you confirm payment."
No, we do not ship tickets, as shipping is not required. Your tickets are issued as e-tickets (electronic tickets) and will be sent directly to your email address. You simply use your passport to board the train.
No, we cannot reserve tickets without immediate payment.
Reason: All tickets in the Chinese railway system are booked under a real-name verification policy. We are required to submit both your full details and the corresponding payment to the railway system instantly when we purchase the ticket. Therefore, payment is required upfront to secure your place in the purchase queue.

Since China Railway only releases tickets for sale 15 days before the departure date, the earliest we can confirm your purchase is 15 days prior to your travel date.
We will send your confirmation email immediately after we successfully secure your ticket at this time.
Note on Delays: In rare instances, particularly due to railway timetable adjustments or when tickets for a small percentage of trains are released later, confirmation may not be possible until 3 to 5 days before your departure. We will keep you informed if your booking falls into this category.
While seat assignments are fully managed by the automated railway ticketing system without human intervention, the system is designed to place all passengers on the same booking together in the same car and in adjacent seats.
Please Note: The only exception to this is during high-demand periods or when booking close to the departure date, where tickets may be secured with seats that are separated due to limited availability.
The ticket requirements for children depend on whether the journey is domestic (within mainland China) or international (China to Laos).
1. Domestic Travel (Within Mainland China)
Requirements are based on age as of January 1, 2023:
| Child's Age | Required Ticket | Notes |
| Under 6 years old | Free Child Ticket (No Reserved Seat) | One adult passenger holding a full-fare ticket may travel with one child under 6 for free. |
| 6 to 14 years old | Discount Child Ticket | Required for all children in this age range. |
| Over 14 years old | Full-Price Ticket | The child is considered an adult passenger. |
| Additional Children | Discount Child Ticket | If an adult is traveling with more than one child under 6, only the first child is free; all others must purchase a Discount Child Ticket. |
2. EXCEPTION: International Travel (China to Laos)
For the international train route between China and Laos, the requirements are based on height, not age:
-
Children under 1.4 meters in height are eligible to purchase a Discount Child Ticket.
-
Children 1.4 meters or taller must purchase a Full-Price Ticket.
Important: Please ensure you have valid identification (e.g., passport) for children to verify their age/height at the time of booking and boarding.
We are happy to submit your seating preference (window, aisle, lower berth, or upper berth) to the ticketing system for you.
How to Request: Please clearly indicate your preference in the special requests section when you place your booking.
Important Note: Seats and berths are assigned automatically by the railway's computer system based purely on availability at the time of purchase. While we always try to secure your preference, we cannot 100% guarantee the outcome.
